Abolition of Bonded Labour System
The Bonded Labour System is one of the most serious forms of human exploitation, where individuals and families are forced to work under debt, coercion, social pressure, or exploitation for little or no wages. FMM Social Service Society (FMMSSS) is committed to eliminating bonded labour practices and restoring dignity, freedom, and rights to vulnerable communities.
Through awareness programs, rescue interventions, rehabilitation support, community mobilization, and collaboration with government departments, FMMSSS works actively to prevent bonded labour and support affected individuals in rebuilding their lives with safety and dignity.
1. Awareness & Prevention
We conduct awareness campaigns in rural and vulnerable communities to educate people about bonded labour laws, human rights, child rights, and available government support systems. These programs help communities recognize exploitation and prevent unsafe migration and labour practices.
2. Rescue & Rehabilitation
FMMSSS supports the identification, rescue, and rehabilitation of bonded labour victims in coordination with Labour Departments, Police, Child Welfare Committees, and local authorities. Victims are connected to rehabilitation schemes, education, shelter, livelihood opportunities, and counseling support.
3.Community Vigilance
We strengthen Community Vigilant Committees (CVCs), youth groups, women collectives, and village-level stakeholders to identify cases of exploitation and promote safe and protective environments for vulnerable families.
4.Child Labour Prevention
Special focus is given to preventing child labour and ensuring that rescued children are mainstreamed into formal education. Awareness sessions are conducted with parents, employers, schools, and communities to promote child protection and education.
5. Livelihood & Skill Development
To reduce economic vulnerability, FMMSSS provides vocational training and livelihood support for women, youth, and rescued families. Skill development programs help beneficiaries achieve financial independence and reduce the risk of exploitation.
